Description and Status
Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates developed by using land reclamation and it consists of a crown with 17 fronds and a surrounding crescent island that forms an 11 km long breakwater.
The project spreads over 5km x 5km and has added 78 kilometer to Dubai coastline. The development comprises circa 4000 residential units and signature hotels.
Project value is approximately US $10 Billion and was successfully delivered in 2008.
